When it comes to water filtration, two leading technologies stand out: Reverse Osmosis and Ultrafiltration. While both use pressure to push water through specialized membranes, they differ significantly in the size of particles they can remove.

Ultrafiltration effectively separates particles ranging from 0.01 to 0.1 microns, making it adept at eliminating substances like milk proteins, gelatin, viruses, and colloidal silica.

In contrast, Reverse Osmosis targets even smaller particles, down to 0.0001 microns. This process is highly effective in removing metal ions, salts, synthetic dyes, and lactose from water.
